Serbia: 10% beer excise increase

 

Following a government decision on 21 January, excise duties on alcoholic beverages increased by 10.37% as of 23 January 2010. Simultaneously, taxation on other excisable goods such as fuel and cigarettes also rose.

 

For beer, the excise duty has been increased from 15 to 16.56 dinars per litre.

 

Taxation on wine has changed from 13.25 to 14.62 dinars, and for spirits from 129.04 to 142.42 dinars per litre.
